CNG to participate in Utilities Day workshop in New Britain
New Britain, Connecticut, April 8, 2008— Representatives from Connecticut Natural Gas (CNG) will participate in the statewide Legal Services of Connecticut Utilities Day workshop at the Connecticut Bar Association, 30 Bank Street, New Britain on Saturday, April 12, 2008. The workshops are designed to help clients meet their utility bill obligations. Workshop hours are 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.
Representatives from CNG’s customer information and public affairs departments will be on hand to answer questions about customers’ gas accounts, inform customers about the company’s Matching Payment Plan and budget billing, and also provide materials about conservation and natural gas safety.
Legal service advocates also will be available to advise clients how to work with utility companies to pay down arrearages, how to qualify and apply for assistance programs and how to negotiate affordable payment arrangements. Items clients should bring include their current gas bill, copies of their latest bank statements, last four payroll and/or social security statements. Veterans should bring their latest benefit statement.
