Interruptible Service
Interruptible service is available to CNG's dual-fuel commercial and industrial customers, as well as qualifying residential multi-dwelling customers.
The availability of such service is defined in our schedule of rates.
On a monthly basis, the commodity charges for CNG's IS Manual Interruptible Service are set and filed with the Department of Public Utility Control.
A rate is established based upon posted prices, market conditions and market clearing prices for alternate fuels as determined by the Connecticut Natural Gas Corporation. This is what is known as CNG's Standard Offer.
The Standard Offer rates for CNG's IS customers for the month of April 2026 are:
